Wingshits

I think my iPhone4 is quickly giving up the ghost. I haven’t been able to take a non-blurry photo with it in for a few months now, and this is no exception. Got the Wingshits in yesterday and this fella above is about as good as it gets without breaking out the better camera. His green counterpart came out even blurrier. Such is life.

I’m also branding my images directly now, blurry though they are, since someone on eBay is using them on iPhone cases now. Annoying, but what can you do.

HP Flocked Skullwing

Just arrived in the mail; A white flocked, hand painted Skullwing!
It’s my first HP (I only have HSP and HSPX) Pushead piece, so as you can imagine I’m pretty geeked.

Astrozombie Skullwing Punk ’77 Version 1

The Punk ’77 Skullwing was the first Secret Base Pushead toy that I bought. I was messing around with the new Dali Museum Hipstamatic “goodpack” and decided to try it out on the ‘wing. Bit surreal, but I guess that’s the point. A non-Dali’ified picture is included for good measure!

It’s almost Halloween. Instinctively I play the Misfits a lot more often to get myself into the season. Not that they’re a gimmick band or anything (at least not the original lineup) but October is just the perfect month for it. Spooky movies, which we already primarily watch at our house, are in the rotation more often, stores are decorated with grinning devils and little kids can be seen wandering around in full Halloween costumes for no reason other than that they can.

So as I was cleaning today, Misfits blasting ASTRO ZOMBIES, I decided to snap a picture of the Astrozombies XV Skullwing (with his buddy the NYCC Skull Pirate) for the blog.

It’s a crappy iPhone shot, so it’s a little blurry, but either way… Happy Halloween!

Hellopike- Custom Skullwing

My collection is severely lacking in Skullwings; with even less custom painted pieces.
I was able to remedy that tonight by finally scoring a custom painted SW by Philly’s own HelloPike. If you scroll through my links section you’ll see a link to his custom sale site Lunatic Fringe. All of his custom work is great, but his Skullwings are always top notch.

We’re going to meet up tomorrow for the sale, then this guy pictured above (shamelessly stolen from Phil’s site) will be a part of my collection.
